My current plane

For the 2015 SeasonAllure SX Contra Prototype

  • CK Aero Allure SX
  • Neu F3A 1513/2Y Motor
  • Brenner Sharp Contra Drive
  • Futaba Radio w/ BLS servos
  • Falcon 21×14 or APC 22×12 Prop
  • Castle Edge 80HV ESC
  • FlightPower Lithium Batteries

My second Allure is down at CK Aero right now being finished. I will be using a 3-blade prop for this one and keep the Contra drive in the prototype.  With the 2015 sequence only lasting one year, it will be great to see how this goes.  The first picture is Jan’s rendition of the custom scheme for my Allure and the second picture is the final product.  I cannot wait to get this airplane.

Jan and I traveled down to Baton Rouge to pick up the prototype Allure with the Contra installed in the nose of the aircraft.  The surprise wasn’t in how well the airplane flew but how well the Contra unit did.  The plane flew exactly like Bryan’s glow Allure.   I will be putting in many flights over the course of the next few months and will be doing some testing for CG location and different prop combinations but all things point to this being a great choice and a good combination.  Here’s an interview with Bryan right after we completed the first flight on the Allure with the Contra in the nose…
